My story
Love, loss, and a reason to keep showing up.
Kay’s Heart Foundation grew from two parts of my life that changed me: losing my aunt to sickle cell disease and watching my mother navigate homelessness, sometimes sleeping in her car or staying in hotels.
These are not distant issues to me. I know how illness and housing instability can affect an entire family—emotionally, financially, and physically. I created this foundation to honor my aunt’s legacy and turn my family’s experiences into meaningful support for others.
This work begins with listening. It grows through education, direct assistance, community partnerships, and the belief that every person deserves to be treated with dignity.
“What my family has lived through became my reason to serve.”
